9 replacement backing plates for Boss guitar pedals.

Provide a straightforward way of mounting your Boss pedals to a board with velcro that normally doesn't stick all that well to the rubber layer of the OEM backing plate. Provides a much more secure base with less wobble on your board.

With these you won't damage the decal or serial number of your pedal as the original plate can be stored away intact.

The plates attach using the original screws and have a flat base for good adhesion to velcro. They are designed to be a similar height profile as the originals - if they were flat the screw heads would sit proud.

Two types are available (slotted and non-slotted) to accommodate the different positioning of the 9V socket on Boss pedals - some require a slot to fit properly, as shown in the images.

Please let me know which types you require when ordering - can be a combination of both.

The plates are made from plastic (3D printed) and an aluminium film is applied to the inner face to provide EMI shielding. This is especially important if your power cables and PSU run along the underside of your board. The film is obviously very conductive so please ensure that any insulating shielding (normally a clear plastic plate) that came with your pedal is in place, to avoid shorting issues.

The design is a close fit with the pedal shell. I have noticed a bit of variation between pedal models and vintages, but at the very most the plate will need to conform to the shell when first screwed down. If this is the case it is best to tighten each screw a little at a time to ensure it remains flat.

Made to order in the UK but I usually keep a small stock ready to go. I tend to buy in filament when it is on sale to keep the prices down, so colours can be a bit random but will usually be black. If you have a particular preference for colour feel free to ask, although they aren't really visible in use.
