All 4 tightly bound with exception of Vol 1 (4 pages starting to become loose but still bound) see last pic. All with wear and possible water staining to first four pages of Vol IV. Page foxing present on all 4 editions. Each measure approx 15.5" x 11.25". Vol III has the worst cover wear/fading. Still a beautiful set of antique books for being 140 yrs old.
