A bit about what to expect when buying from Pip’s Garage
International buyers are welcomed with the same open arms as domestic clients and are properly catered for. Pip also photographs items here a bit differently from most. He tries to put everything on a clean background and applies as sharp an image setting as possible. This way, it seems to show up any imperfections in the item more clearly. Pip reckons this gives buyers a fairer chance of evaluating his items and to use this information to make an informed bid on any items. He wants you to be not just happy, but ecstatic about your purchase.
Please do look at the images carefully as they form the most relevant part of my descriptions. Equally, we write in as much detail about our auction and sale items as possible, so you have the choice around how much you choose to inform yourself to make a great decision to buy.
A little note about Pip_N_Juniper’s feedback score and what it may mean to you as the bidder
The FEEDBACK has been awarded by YOU, the clients that come and buy from Pip based on trust. The 100% feedback score has been hard-won, often by going a bit ‘over the top’ to make sure clients are totally happy with what they buy from us. Pip does all he can to provide an impeccable service. But because Pip is a flawed human being, he does not always get it right. When that happens, he’s always been able to find a solution that satisfies both parties if an issues arises.
All items are well-packed and are packaged up within the same business day of cleared payment. They come from a Pandemic, Pet and Smoke-free, clean garage.
A bit about Pip’s ethos on collectibles
We all collect something or other. Knowledge, friends and experiences and oftentimes we collect pieces of history. That’s where Pip’s Garage @ Pin_n_Juniper comes in. We celebrate wabi-sabi in many of our die-cast models – which is the ‘art of finding beauty in imperfection’. Mostly, our Dinky, Corgi, Moko, Lesney, Matchbox and other models tell a story of decades of being lovingly played with. We don’t try to cover up the evidence of loving play-wear because we think it adds to the mystique and wonder of the untold stories that linger on in the items
Sometimes though, we strike it super-lucky and we ‘barn-find’ vintage die-cast models that have never been opened up from the packaging. Equally, we find models that have remained in their box but the box has been worn through years of storage in dusty attics. We also find totally mint (and close to mint) models without boxes but as fresh as they left the factory decades ago.
