Likely a once in a lifetime opportunity to buy an Authentic Gemsco Army Branch Insignia Saleman's Sample tray. The insignia are all in stone cold mint condition, and have never been handled except to photograph a few of them individually as shown. The silver insignia are all marked GEMSCO STERLING, and the gold colored insignia are marked "GEMSCO". The only two not marked that I checked were the two hat badges. I did not remove every single piece, just a few of the "key" pieces to make sure they were makers marked, but it's obvious none have been tinkered with, removed, etc. This salesman's sample board was likely made/used in late 1961 or early 1962 as the "Military Intelligence" insignia was not authorized beyond 1962, and the "Civil Affairs" insignia was authorized starting in October of 1961.

This is the first we've seen, and likely the only one we'll ever come across. A very neat part of US Army history! The case shows shelf wear, and the Officer hat badge screw post protrudes through the back of the display slightly and is therefore absent of a spinner nut. All in all, it's in fantastic shape for a 60+ year old sample board.
