      INFORMATION:

    • A-SUB 120G Extremely Fast Drying Sublimation Paper
    • This media is arguably the best media for those who suffer from the dreaded 'pizza wheel' roller marks that can occur particularly with Epson inkjet printers using sublimation ink. 'Pizza Wheel' marks are caused when the exit rollers of the printer roll through the dark areas of a sublimation print (which tend to take longer to dry). The rollers collect residual ink and can result in very fine dark coloured dots in your finished print and subsequent product. The issue tends to be worse when using high release papers. Our tech staff conducted numerous tests with an extensive range of sublimation papers, including a large number of specialised fast dry papers.
    •
    • The A-SUB 120g Fast Dry papers were the stand out paper with no roller or scrape marks being produced. For those who know about this issue, this paper may well be the solution. Even if you do not suffer from 'pizza wheel marks' this paper is a really impressive product with a high transfer rate, and is suitable for not only inkjet printers using liquid dye sublimation inks (such as Epson or Brother printers), but performs exceptionally well with the gel type sublimation inks (Sawgrass and Ricoh printers).
    •
    • Sublimation papers are only suitable for people printing using Dye Sublimation inks.  These inks are printed onto the paper using inkjet printers. The print is then used in conjunction with a heat press to transfer the image onto the item.  The image transfers as the ink turns to a gas when heated and then back to a solid when it cools, leaving behind the image.
    • Inkghost also offer a range of empty Continuous Ink Supply Systems and refillable cartridges for Epson printers which can be used for sublimation ink printing.  These can be found in our ebay store or if unsure feel free to contact us via an ebay message

All sublimation inks are profiled for use in Epson printers, however almost every series of Epson printers (hence cartridges) have slightly different physical colours. So for example the BK, C, M and Y colours are physically different from one printer series to the next. This means you never have 100% colour accuracy using any sublimation inks. As a generalisation the inks are very close but some users choose to create their own ICC profiles or 'tweak' the colour output in the printer colour settings

The printed output must be transferred hot using a heat press at a temperature between 180-220 degrees.  Time and temperature will vary depending on type and nature of material which transfer is applied.  When used to print on fabric, sublimation inks will only work on synthetic materials (must be less than 10% cotton) unless you are printing onto a transfer syle specialist paper.
