This antique blue and white stoneware butter-cheese crock with lid is a beautiful piece of pottery from the US Midwest. The saltglaze adds a lovely texture and unique character to the piece. It was created sometime between 1900-1949 and is an original piece, not a reproduction.


The crock is small to medium in size. Measuring 7” wide and 4” deep. It is unsigned but still a great addition to any collection of primitives or antiques. The material used is stoneware and the color is predominantly blue.

There is a superficial crack on the lid that does not go through please see pic

The word Butter is in raised letters and what appears to be fruit surround the piece. Again please see pics for better description
