Up for sale, a brand new Feelgood Dreamweaver, finished in Ice Blue Metallic nitro lacquer. A faithful iteration of Fender's Mk 1 Marauder prototype from the mid-1960s, the Dreamweaver realizes the Fender Offset model that never was. True to the original Fender design, the Dreamweaver features four "hidden" single coil pickups beneath the pickguard, each with its own dedicated on/off/on switch to both engage the coil and reverse the phase. Tonewoods include an alder body, maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlay, providing a clear, balanced acoustic platform for the pickups. The Dreamweaver offers a dizzying array of pickup combinations, and despite the pickup’s proximity to the strings, the overarching tone is powerful and extremely detailed. From bright, midrange forward sparkle in the bridge position to round, percussive sweetness at the neck, there’s so much fertile sonic territory to explore. The out-of-phase sounds available with any two pickups engaged have a variety of shades, and thinned-out Strat-esque quack is easily attainable and adjustable to taste. The Rhythm Circuit, akin to a Jazzmaster or Jaguar, is a bit more velvety and clear than either of the aforementioned models, and even with the array of pickup options, it's a tonal texture that’s a standout. Weighing 8lbs 12oz, this Dreamweaver benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation. The neck has a medium C-shaped profile carve with just enough roundness in the shoulders, measuring .835" deep at the 1st fret and .885" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard features medium jumbo fretwire, playing cleanly up the 25 1/2" scale, and the nut measures 1 11/16" in width. The headstock has Fender "F" tuning machines and a Feelgood waterslide decal. The electronics feature individual three-way on/off/on switches for the hidden pickups, coupled to Master Volume and Tone knobs and the Rhythm Circuit controls on the bass-side upper bout. The Strat-style vibrato actuates smoothly, and the hardware exhibits a light relic treatment. The pearloid pickguard is custom-made and routed from the back side so that the pickups can be as close to the strings as possible. This Dreamweaver is a brand new guitar with a light factory relic which includes a few simulated marks of wear and extremely faint lacquer checking on the Ice Blue Metallic gloss nitro lacquer finish. A hardshell case is included.
