P-39 World War II Aircraft watercolor William “Bill” Paxton

Artist signed and titled lower left: “P-39 Bill Paxton” Ready to hang in your home or office.

Pencil notations on the back of the painting, presumably in the artist's hand read: “P-39 UEA BECC P-39D AIRCOBRA So Pacific 1943.”

Paxton was a popular Maine artist, born in 1930 and passing away in 2017. Paxton begin drawing, sketching and painting as a child and continued his art work throughout his life. Paxton spent 22 years in the Air Force, much of his time as a military sketch artist. After retirement, Paxton returned to his beloved Maine and continued painting for the rest of his life.
