All tubes are fully tested for leakage, shorts, gas, life, and mutual conductance. Then they are matched according to brand, properties within the date of production, and mutual conductance.

Matches are based on mutual conductance. I use two different, calibrated Hickok 539C'S, Triplett 3444, a Weston model 981 type 3, and an Eico model 667. If they pass the testing, they will be sold with test data for that tube. Not all the testers are used with each tube, but if a tube is showing odd characteristics, I will test on other models.

I also several different amps and hifi stereos for a lot of the models I sell. I can check for noise on my Hickoks and Triplett, but for the rare and high dollar tubes, I will sound check them under normal operating conditions.

If the tubes aren't matched within 6%, I will acknowledge that in the description.
