FIRST EDITION. 1 vol., illustrated, fourth state (as usual) of the additional engraved title-page, bound in the publisher's original gilt and blind stamped red cloth, all edges gilt, neat contemporary inscription to upper edge of front blank endleaf dated Dec. 24th 1846, internally clean and bright, no bookplate to front pastedown, minor rubbing to head and foot of spine, inner and outer hinges fine, completely unsophisticated, a VERY GOOD copy.
