An amazing set of religious devotional cards in excellent condition. These are all from the same printer and series but are not sequential and some look older that others. All have the same delicate grey toned backgrounds and the amazing tonality in the light of the skies and cloulds are ethereal and could only been achieved by the finest printer. All are printed in Italy, marked as such, along with the printers logo, the initial F and B on either side of an anchor.
Contrasting with the dramatic and tonal greys are shades of terracotta and pinks with gold highlights to the halos and and sides of the cards. This set is utterly beautiful with images ranging from the the loving Mother Mary with infant Jesus, to the pathos of Christ at Gesthemene. A personal favorite is the Assumption of the Virgin where she ascends to heaven on a cloud  surrounded by a swirling group of flying putti waving banners. So much detail, so moving.
The cards measure 4”H x 2.25”W each. They are in excellent condition, not stains, tears or creases. The backs are blank. Please see my detailed photos as part of the condition description. These were most likely printed in the 1950’s.
