Vintage 1960’s Mexican Wool Felt Lined Cornucopia Jacket of peppers, squash, etc.

Not the typical Vtg Mexican Souvenir Jacket but quality made, fairly heavy, nicely lined, no wool itchiness, a true Chartreuse, hand washed in cold water and then dry-cleaned.

Issues: There are some spots that did not come out with dry cleaning…a few here and there. Most notably on the left collar which I’ve taken photos of. It does not detract from this fabulous one of a kind Mexican jacket from the 1960’s. You could place a wool felt leaf there and cover any way you wanted.

I lightened the areas of concern but the true color overall is chartreuse and the color is fairly consistent.

There are also a few superficial moth marking but not holes and these are not noticeable to anyone but me.

Top of the interior lining had faded a bit. Lining is a dark forest green made of a silk like polyester.

A Stunning piece of craftsmanship. No label inside. My 75 year old neighbor said her parents traveled to Mexico City for holiday from the 1950’s-70’s, her mother was a fabulous dresser and this was hers. She kept it in a cedar chest for most of its ‘life’.

Looks like something Frida would wear to me.

Please look at the photos closely. I am happy to answer any and all questions prior to purchase.

The style of the jacket is an open swing jacket with cuffs that are slightly bell-shaped.
