Remanufactured BMW S54B32 cylinder head. Fits E46 M3, Z3M & Z4M.


This particular head did have some detonation or spark erosion in chamber 6. This area was professionally tig welded and remachined for proper volume and finish.


You will need to provide camshafts and rocker assemblies.


The process:


Head is disassembled, caustic tanked, crack tested & inspected.


Next, cylinder head is vapor blasted to remove carbon & varnish. Valves also get decarboned and inspected at this point.


Valve seats are cut on a Serdi machine to a performance multi-angle & radius profile as valve faces get reground.

Valves and seats get hand lapped & reinspected as well as vacuum tested for proper seal.


Cylinder head casting then receives light milling on the deck/head gasket surface with a Rottler diamond face cutter to assure flatness & proper finish.

Sharp surfaces near the deck & chambers are hand deburred to minimize glow plugging.


Cylinder head casting and valvetrain parts are inspected again before a final detergent & water wash.

The cylinder head is then rinsed clean and dried with compressed air.


Cylinder head next receives a final inspection prior to receiving assembly lubricant, fresh valve stem seals and careful assembly. Customer to provide their own rockers, shafts, camshafts and shims.
