Featured here is a beautiful vintage Japanese champlevé vase made in Japan in the 1930’s. Champlevé is a technique similar to cloisonné, in which the vase is carved, stamped, or cast to create depressions which are filled with enamel powder, fired, and polished. This vase has many different patterns, including colorful peacocks and what looks to be a water lily. There are light blues, dark blues, red, white, and green. The handles are also stylized in a fashionable way. It is in good handmade and vintage condition, there are some spots where the enamel isn’t even or has worn away, most notably in the white sections, a mild patina, and some light wear. See pictures for closer detail.

Measures 8.5” tall, about 6 5/8” wide, 5 3/8” deep, and weighs just over 3 lbs. prior to packaging.
