Featured here is an oil on canvas board seascape painting by Ted Christensen, entitled, “The Bark”. Known for his impressionist landscapes and seascapes, Christensen’s art is well-respected and worthy of any wallspace. This painting is of a three masted bark ship trouncing the high seas. The main mast and mizzen are illuminated by the setting sun and the foremast darker, indicating the boat might be heading into stormy seas. Signed as shown. It’s a wonderful painting that shows a lot of skill.

As for condition, the frame has a few issues. There is a damaged/chipped area to the bottom left corner of the frame. There was tape on the back that has been removed, but it is still very secure in the frame. There are some light mildew marks on the back of the frame we have not tried to remove, and Christensen wrote his address on the back. The painting itself is a great piece, see pictures for closer detail.

Wired on the back ready for hanging. Painting is done on an 18"x24" canvas board. Outer frame measures about 29” in height x 23” width. Painting with frame weighs 7 lbs.
