This auction is for one used CENCO model 71267 "e/m" physics experiment with its rare type 71266 "e/m" tube. For scale, the Helmholtz coils are 9 inches in diameter. The instruction and explanation pamphlet for this device and experiment is available for free online, and I will include a copy for the buyer. In this experiment the student measured "e/m", which is the ratio of the charge of an electron to its mass. CENCO (Central Scientific Company) did not make power supplies for these, but this unit comes with a power supply made by the university specifically for this experiment. That said, we never powered it up. The tube has filament continuity, but is not otherwise tested. This would make a striking display piece for the successful electrical engineer or advanced tube collector. The overall visual condition is excellent, with minimal wear on both the main apparatus and power supply.
