Smithsonian Institution 150th Anniversary Porcelain Doll----Maria sculpted by Susan Sirkis.  Based on an exhibit in the Smithsonian, this beautifully rendered doll is carefully hand painted with exquisitely made clothing representing the period of 1846.  She is in her original box with a certificate of authenticity and the number 350, part of a limited edition made for the museum's 150th anniversary. The doll includes a rare booklet detailing the clothing and other exhibits at the museum.  There is some discoloration on part of the box and the booklet has a small stain on the inside cover.

The doll originally had hand painted gloves in a light grey.  The paint seems to have degraded over time which has left the paint on the gloves uneven----see photos.  This no doubt could be remedied but we have left the doll in her original condition.
