This unique 19th century turned treen ware box is a great addition to any primitive or antique collection. The round shape and worn original finish add to its charm, while the turned treen ware construction and wooden material make it a sturdy piece. Measuring 4-3/8 inches x 4-1/4 inches, out of round from authentic grain shrinkage, it is in wonderful estate condition with authentic wear to the honey colored original finish.  The side of the turned lid shows a tiny, tight hairline that extends only 1/4" on the top.  It shows an interior opposing notch that indicates a divider at some point, which is not present.  It may have been used as a tabletop snuff, spice, or storage box.

The box has a rich worn original honey color finish that complements its country style and adds to its vintage appeal. Its date of creation falls between 1800-1899, making it an original piece from that era. This box is perfect for collectors who appreciate the beauty of antique objects and the artistry that goes into their creation.
