Description: Shot in 1979, this abstract b&w photo is a full-frame print of the original image - including the square edges of the film itself, with all embedded manufacturer markings. This shot has been widely published and exhibited. The photograph was shot at San Francisco Camerawork gallery, using a twin lens Yashica Mat 124 G film camera, with available light.

Specifications: This is a hand-signed limited edition 8.5x11 original exhibition photo by Craig Morey. (Image size, including square film frame, is approx 8x8") Artist's signature appears in the lower right front in ink, and the image details, studio label, and title appear on back. Prints are also signed and numbered in pencil on verso.  (Note: artist logo and copyright info do not appear on the prints, only on the web versions)  All prints are custom made in the artist's studio. 
 

Limited Edition: The 8.5x11 giclee version of this photo is available in an edition of 100, with up to 10 artist proofs. As of March 2020, the next edition numbers to be sold are #4 through #10. (Prices may be increased as the edition sells out) Please note: this is not a "vintage" print. The original negative was shot in 1979, and less than 10 silver darkroom prints were produced at or around that time. This contemporary limited edition is being produced starting in March 2020)

Archival properties: This is a museum quality archival giclee print on heavy weight fiber art paper, made from an ultra-high resolution drum scan of the original Kodak PlusX 120mm b&w film negative. With proper handling it should last 100+ years without fading or diminishing in quality. (Care, storage and exhibition instructions are included with each print.)

Shipping: Prints are shipped unframed in archival acetate covers, in sturdy packaging. Shipments are sent via USPS First Class Insured or Priority Mail, and we guarantee safe delivery.  Most prints are made when the purchase is complete, and the time from transaction to delivery is usually a maximum of 5 to 10 working days. 

Authentication: You are purchasing this print directly from the photographer. Each buyer receives a personalized letter of authentication on Morey Studio letterhead. The letter is hand signed and dated, detailing print titles and unique edition numbers, as well as handling and framing guidelines.

About the artist:  Craig Morey is an award winning photographer, based in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 40 years. He is well known for his black and white studio photography, and has published five monographs of art photography, including Studio (Penthouse, 1992), Linea (Korinsha Japan, 1996), and 20th Century Studio (Glaspalast, Germany, 2001). His photographs are included in hundreds of books, magazines, and art photo web sites. Morey is also available for private commissions, workshops and tutorials in his California studio or on location.
