Merry Meet!

Welcome to Mercian Forest, a place where you will find everything to meet your witchy needs!

This listing is for the stunning Olwen 'Lady of the White Tracks' Goddess Figurine.  Olwen is a Goddess from Welsh Folklore and it is said that white flowers spring up from her footprints - forming white tracks where she has walked.

According to Welsh legend Olwen's father was a giant called Ysbaddaden he was fated to die if Olwen ever married.  Olwen met Culhwch and they both fell in love Culhwch wanted to marry Olwen, Ysbaddaden trying to dissuade Culhwch set a list of very difficult tasks in order to win Olwen's hand in marriage.  Long story short, Culhwch completed the tasks with the help of his cousin King Arthur and won Olwen's hand in marriage and the giant, Olwen's father died.

We have sculpted Olwen with bright blonde hair, she is dressed in a red gown covered by a gold coloured cloak.  Around Olwen's neck is a golden coloured 'necklace' set with green and red clay representing the red rubies and emeralds she would have worn according to legend.  At the back of her cloak I have painted white flowers towards the bottom to symbolise the white flowers she is associated with.

This beautiful Goddess figurine has been hand sculpted and hand painted, as such - no two are never exactly the same.  As each goddess is made by hand, to order, there may be some minor variations in details, including the size, which is around 4 inches.  Our Goddesses take time to sculpt, paint and varnish to which end we ask you to allow up to 5 days for us to prepare your Goddess for delivery.

We are based in Wiltshire in the UK, near to our Spiritual home of Avebury, the White Horse and a short distance from Stone Henge.  All the items you see on our pages are handmade, photographed and packaged by us.

Thank you for looking and Blessed Be )O(
