This is a vintage (near antique) coffee pot produced sometime from the twenties forward. There is no way I can tell you the exact age of the piece. This was inherited from my Aunt and has been in air conditioned storage since 2007. Prior to that, it sat on a shelf in my house adding to interest as I found the shape so delightful.

I believe the pot handle, the lid handle, and the stand are made of Bakelite. The handles are riveted on and the rivet on the pot is masterfully covered so that the pot inside and the rivet are separated and the rivet doesn’t touch the brew inside the pot. The stand keeps the pot off the surface where coffee or tea is served

It is stamped on the bottom “Master Heavy Cast”. I haven’t been able to find much about its history. It is well named as it weighs about 3 pounds before being boxed for mailing.

It isn’t often you find this as a complete set or in working condition. The pot, itself, with the lid, is just shy of 12” and the diameter at its widest (without the handle) is just over 6”.
