All Frog Eye – Bug Eye Sprites had single action pistons in the rear brakes GWC1114
As did the very first Square nosed Sprite MkII and Midget MkI's.
Slightly later Sprites & Midgets, from May 1962 through to September 1962
Had this much improved double piston cylinder, GWC1115.
The first chassis #'s with this cylinder was HAN6 20545 – 24731.
Excluding 20580, 20582, 20583, 20595, 20596,
20692 – 20696, 20741 – 20757, 20760 and 20788 – 20792
This continued only for a few months
until the introduction of factory front disc brakes in Oct 1962.
At that time the 1098cc engine was fitted.
From then on, all Sprites and Midgets used the GWC1102 wheel cylinders in the rear.
Two (2) required per car.
