Bowtie Sugar bottom without lid Thompson Glass Company, Uniontown, PA c 1889. Thompson Glass # 18. AKA American Bowtie. The glass is clear and heavy and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from indoors where I photographed the piece.  The sugar bottom has mold marks and straw marks and bubbles common in this era of glassware.  Manufactured in a three-part mold. Very nice color and clarity and impression from the mold is excellent. No chips or cracks that I can see or feel. There is wear on outside bowties commensurate with age of piece. Very worn please refer to photographs. Five tool marks or mold imperfections on top row of bowties. Please email with questions or comments. Weight before packing 1.198 pounds.
