Ravage Sixties Collection: SILENCE R40821-043-3 or 4. This high rise, wide sided, 4 strap suspender belt is in a golden yellow opaque fabric around the whole top of the front, hip sides to the centre back, this is like a loose, tiny mini skirt, all of the same width. Then there are two panels at either side of the back fastening in a semi-sheer, plain yellow fabric and at the bottom these panels rise up towards the fastening.
This main outer panel is embroidered with a white looping fringe, facing downwards, white embroidered petals facing downwards and around the bottom of the "skirt", a white zig-zag embroidered pattern against the hip sides and leg tops. This collection has a strong inspiration from the 1960's Flower Power movement and the white fringe detailing and mini skirt effect, also reinforces this.
The waist band has the fabric turned in and this is secured to the flat yellow elastic edging the inside, with fine yellow zig-zag stitching. A white looped trim with different sized loops are sewn inside the top edge of the whole waistband, and the bottom of the 2 back panels, giving a pretty pattern against the skin and referencing the white embroidery around the belt. The belt fastens with three triple yellow hooks and eyes on yellow fabric. A large white embroidered flower is sewn to the middle of the right hand back fastening and the petals float over the sheer fabric and the fastening to mask the fastening.
The four suspenders hang below seams in the golden yellow opaque fabric. They have flat elastic inside covered with a gathered band of the golden yellow fabric, sewn at the back. These suspenders adjust upwards from the bottom yellow metal suspender clip with its translucent rubber button. They adjust with a yellow metal butterfly slider. Each suspender clip is covered with a yellow satin ribbon at the back and front and cut on the diagonal at the bottom.
The fabric of the wide suspender belt is 75%Polyester, 23%Cotton, 1%Polyamide, 1%Elastane, and, please machine or hand wash at 40 degrees, no iron, dry cleaning, tumble drying or bleach. New and unused. Made in France. The retail price of the wide suspender belt was £77.50.
