These vintage Picture Post magazines are a wonderful resource of news and contemporary thought - giving insight to the news, politics and current affairs of the world. There are articles and lots of pictures, and these late 1930s issues are particularly interesting! And the advertisements are great, too.

In this issue:
  • Cover: Derby Favourite Blue Peter with trainer Jack Jarvis, Park Lodge, Newmarket
  • Newmarket Prepares for the Derby
  • Toscanini Conducts - Arturo Toscanini
  • Bond Street, London
  • Against The Nazis - Anti-Nazi Propaganda
  • Children’s Museum - Geffrye Museum, Kingsland Road, Shoreditch
  • History of 100 Years in Photographs - Part 5 - The Crimean War
  • There is a World Spirit!
  • A Weekend with The Crazy Gang - Nervo, Knox, Flanagan, Allen, Naughton and Gold
  • Some Flowers and Some Faces - Chelsea Flower Show
  • The Importance of Knees
  • The West Indian Cricketers
  • The British Constitution

The magazine is large format, measuring appoximately 34cm by 26cm, with 76 pages

Condition: The magazine is in good vintage condition, showing reading wear and some creasing to the covers, plus the staples have rusted, making the pages loose and some staining damage around the staples - visible in the pictures below. Given that the magazine is over 80 years old, its condition is pretty good, but certainly not perfect! The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive.

I accept returns, and if you’d like any further information, just ask!
