With the stamp sheet "Cross of Military Merits", we complete the "Awards of Ukraine" series, which was launched in 1997 and is dedicated to the highest honors of Ukraine.

The philatelic novelty reproduces the award of the President of Ukraine "Cross of Military Merits", which is awarded to servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations for outstanding personal courage and bravery or a heroic act during the performance of a combat mission in conditions of danger to life and direct contact with the enemy; outstanding successes in the management of troops during hostilities.

The prototype of the award was the highest military award of the UPA and UGVR - "Cross of Miitary Merits", the project of which was created by the famous Ukrainian artist Nil Khasevych.

The state award is made of silver with gilding and has the form of a straight equilateral cross with the image of the Emblem of the Princely State of Volodymyr the Great in the center.

The set includes the stamp sheet "Cross of Millitary Merits " and a cover  "First Day. Cross of Military Merits".
