I'm thinning my model Porsche racer collection. Here is one of the most famous of all Porsche racers: the 1971 917/20 Pink Pig. Entered by the factory as an experimental aerodynamic exercise from the design house of Dr. Max Sardow, the body looked so stubby that the race team decided it looked like a pig and painted it accordingly complete with all the sections of a pig used for butchering. A little bizarre, but certainly unique. And made for one of the most famous cars to ever race at The Sarthe. The car was driven by Reinhold Joest and Willi Kaushen, but unfortunately it failed to finish the race. The model is a 1/18th scale die cast made by Minichamps with tremendous detail including opening engine cover with a detailed 5.4 litre flat-12 engine, and doors with a detailed interior. The model comes is a special display box and is one of 10,001 pieces made this being number 5280 as stamped on the base. BUT, this is no ordinary display. The base is wired for sound and will make the oink oink sound of a pig with the press of a button. NOTE, I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY USED THIS FEATURE AS I NEVER REMOVED THE BATTERY TAPE FROM THE SOUND DEVICE. SO I DON'T KNOW IF IT WORKS OR NOT. In my collection since new and properly displayed. NO RESERVE. Serious bidders only please. Payment due within 7 days of auction close. Immediately if you use the Buy It Now option.  Buyer pays shipping. Combined shipping available for multiple items. Good Luck and thanks for looking.
