This hook is designed for catch and release fishing targeting species like Goliath gropers, mako and tiger sharks. The needle eye has a rigging that is designed to ensure that cable and crimps are drawn tight to the hook to help prevent a large loop of cable where the hook and leader are attached, which help minimize the impact on the caught fish. The needle eye is chamfered to accomodate 5,000 lb cable. The hook as a micro barb to help ensure that the hook does not back out during a fight, which helps to prevent the hook from backing out and re-penetrating the fish multiple times. The Duratin finish is corrosion-resistant.
