80 Watts of power! (And it really does "go to 11") Hitmaster Back Panel
Headline your way to living-room fame with a mighty 80-Watt (max) onboard amp powering a dynamic Single Point Stereo Array. The 6.5" woofer is tuned with Dynamic Balance Technology, for distortion-free mid-range and low-end even at stadium-rocking volumes. Dual 3x5 professional-style horn tweeters, with efficient Neodymium magnet structures, are aimed to provide incredible details and wide dynamic range. The HitMaster ignites your meteoric rise up the charts.

Big bass impact Hitmaster Back Panel
The HitMaster's mass-optimized woofer feeds twin turbo rear-firing ports, for floor-shaking waves of big bass impact. When we first started making stand-alone home and auto-sound Subwoofers, Led Zeppelin was still together and AeroSmith was still playing the clubs around Boston. So we know a couple three things about filling a room with big musical bass you can really feel, whether you're standing on the stage or cheering in the crowd.

Easy connections to any game system & multiple monitor daisy-chains
Daisy-chain multiple HitMaster Monitors via Line Level inputs and outputs, so your band mates can jam right along with you. The HitMaster also features a 1/8" input jack for quick connection to TVs, iPods, and other sources with a 1/8

Some owner reviews
Great amp for the dorm room. Sounds good for movies and music. The speaker is quite loud even around level 5 out of 11 levels. This speaker is not a home theater surround sound system but is good for the price. The pros: sounds good, plenty of loud, rich bass, and is portable. The cons: you can only control the volume and nothing else, the back panel does get warm

I cannot describe the intensity of owning the Hitmaster. Rip the Hitmaster sticker off for sure and call it what it is, which would be the only emblem left; it's a Polk unit with a high end full sound for a low end price tag. In fact, that says it all right there. This was TOO good, and I bet Polk ceased production based on that fact, because an all-in-one unit that has everything you need and sound that compares to a decent home theater setup prevents customers from spending more money. I would have bought more than one if this thing wasn't such a highly sought after piece of equipment, and its availability is absolutely dreadful, like finding a needle in a football field filled with haystacks. Build quality is top-notch - furthest thing you can get from a toy for something that was designed to supplement a lame video game. I guess Polk didn't expect audiophiles to use it for other purposes, but we are the ones laughing at you, Polk. If you can find one, it's a no-brainer. Should you have to choose between paying a bill late to buy this unit should you be lucky enough to spot one, pay the late fees. I love mine, and being that it's a Polk, should the day ever arise that it needs parts, shouldn't be too much a problem to find them. Free advice? Never sell it.

Very impressed. Great sound for music and movies. Best bang for the buck audio I've experienced.
Two small problems that are SUPER MINOR:
1) The "HitMatster" logo is tacky. Good news: it comes off VERY EASILY, when gently pryed (the trick is to go slow and the glue comes too).
2) The volume knob [on the back] sticks out, which creates something to be careful about when transporting. That's a shame--everything else is well constructed and durable. It would be ideal to be able to throw this thing around without having to worry about that one part. Polk: consider redesigning that knob.
