Probably from the late 1890s and looking like Mt Washington Glass, this Victorian syrup is molded from milk glass and is hand painted around the body with a long spray of pink/purple flowers and green leaves. There is a ring of gilt around the neck. The nickel plated top has a thumb rest and a spring mechanism which still functions well, closing with a good snap.

The syrup stands 6 3/4" high and is 3 1/2" diameter at its widest. The nickel silver plating is worn on the top. There is a small chip or flake near the front at the base of one of the flowers; it may have been there at manufacture.
