Big beautiful luscious red cherries hang tantalizingly on branches against a dark to light green background on this large mug or tankard made by the Ceramic Art Company of Trenton, N.J. who became Lenox, Inc. in 1906. The hand painting, skillfully executed, was probably done by a factory artist most of whom did not sign their work.

The bottom has the CAC palette mark which was used from 1889 - 1905. It stands 5 1/2"high and is 4 1/2" diameter at the base and 3" diameter at the top. In addition to its wide, sturdy base, it has a generous handle.

The condition is excellent. A wonderful mug to display or to use for a fine ale or a big cuppa joe.
