Description:

Chrysocolla is a hydrated copper silicate mineral with a blue-green colour and is a minor ore of copper. The name comes from the Greek chrysos, “gold”, and kola, “glue”, in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold and was first used by Theophrastus in 315 BC.

Galena is the natural mineral form of lead(II) sulfide. It is the most important lead ore mineral. Galena is one of the most abundant and widely distributed sulfide minerals. It crystallizes in the cubic crystal system often showing octahedral forms. It is often associated with the minerals sphalerite, calcite and fluorite.
