Countries speaking the language (citing Wikipedia): Modern Hebrew is spoken by most of the seven million people in Israel while Classical Hebrew has been used for prayer or study in Jewish communities around the world. Yiddish is written and spoken in Orthodox Jewish communities around the world. It is a home language in most Hasidic communities, where it is the first language learned in childhood, used in schools and in many social settings.

File types used:

The following electronic formats can be stored on various mobile phones as well as the traditional desktop / laptop computer - you will be able to take them on holiday with you if you use a laptop, and many mobile phones can now store and read them, see below:

* .txt - Notepad file. This file format is considered "universal", i.e. it is said to be readable on any computing device, including PCs and Apple Macs, using software that is already part of the device's operating system.

* .pdf
- Adobe Acrobat Personal Document file. This file format can be read on PCs (all of the main operating systems are supported), Apple Macs, and conceivably on any mobile phone that has "PDA" (Personal Digital Assistant, i.e. a desktop, with the ability to import and read document files, e.g. the iPhone or a Windows phone) functionality. If a mobile phone can read document files, it would either have a .pdf reader supplied with the original software package, or you will likely find a downloadable .pdf reader on the internet, for your phone brand. You might need to download a reader for your PC or Apple Mac too, but a free Acrobat Reader is included in Windows operating system software.

Please note: .pdf readers are included with each language set purchased. The included readers will work for Windows operating system only.

Input method, to transfer an eBook file onto your target device:

* CD/DVD-ROM drive.
* USB hard drive.
* Various transfer cables associated with mobile phone brands.
* eMailing the eBook to yourself / uploading it to the web in order to download it to your target device.

General Description

The vast majority of books on each disc are in bilingual English-Foreign language. There are a few that are purely in a foreign language (e.g. dictionaries of local dialects), and these typically have non-English titles (although some of the bilingual textbooks actually have non-English titles too).

Some of the books within our series of foreign languages discs contain illustrations, maps, diagrams, tables, etc. Most of these eBooks have searchable text too, and thus it will be possible to copy and paste text from the eBooks, onto word processing documents (as well as, of course, it being possible to search for individual words and phrases, on Adobe Reader or Notepad).

Contents:

The following folder categories can be found with each language item (some categories might not be present - check the contents listings further down):

* Dialects: Includes local variations within a language.
* Dictionaries: Includes dictionaries, etymology, lexicons, thesauruses and vocabularies.
* Grammar: Includes morphology and syntax.
* Historical: Includes ancient dialects, ancient humanities and some etymologies.
* Literature & Reading: Includes literature (inc. poetry), translating, writing / composition, and in some cases, sociology and anthropology too.
* Speaking: Oriented toward phonetical pronunciation, although pronouncing dictionaries will most likely be found in the Dictionaries folder.

Please excuse the abbreviated titles used in these lists. The documents were thus labelled due to constraints on the maximum number of characters permitted in a filename. The contents of most of these books are vast and varied - do not assume that the title conveys their full portent! Because listing the contents and bibliographic details for all books would be such an enormous undertaking, no contents are listed here, but you will undoubtedly be impressed when you discover them yourself.
The books contain precious perspectives and learning categories. In other words, every book is unique! Here follows an abbreviated contents list for this collection (there were space and time constraints on listing the contents):

Discounts:

I may sometimes offer discounts for purchasing 3 or more discs from my inventory, be they of the same title or mixed titles. Buyers will currently find any set procedure for applying discounts across the entire inventory too complex, so if you want a discount for quantity, please contact me via eBay (see the link at the bottom of the page) and l will look into arranging a discounted total price ad hoc.

Packaging:

This item will be sent in a paper sleeve within an envelope or bare, within a cardboard mailer. For multiple purchases (e.g. of this item, or of this item plus other items from the seller's inventory), there will be varying types of additional packaging (e.g. different sizes of envelope). For UK customers, an order of one or two discs together will be small enough to fit through most letterboxes, thus if your selected postage tariff is standard Second Class (not "Signed For"), you will not need to answer the door when this item is delivered to your address.
