The principle of operation is that, this side is the light receiving part, and when you pull the trigger, the Famicom itself and the software draw an image for hit determination. The success or failure of the game is determined by the scanning lines depicting the image being captured by the machine...so please be aware that you will not be able to play the game properly unless you have a CRT TV .
