Antique Georgian Brass and Wrought Iron Adjustable Fireplace Trivet 

Wooden-handled adjustable English brass and iron fireplace trivet. I believe the wrought iron adjustable frame was designed to hook onto the front of a fireplace fender/grate to keep a teakettle or small pot warm.

Measures approximately 13 inches long when contracted, with a 4" wooden handle and 6-1/4” x 5-1/4” inch brass decorative surface; it stands 4-1/4” high.
