I travel often, I have a 5 business day shipping handling time between purchase and shipping. Please keep in mind when purchasing. I do not make money on shipping so items are well packed and that may include extra weight. I ship small items strictly by Priority Mail US. Larger heavier items may be shipped via Fed Ex]UPS Ground.

Incredible & rare, possibly one of a kind, 16 set of 19th century English Minton Hollins Co, Stoke On Trent allegorical fireplace plaque/tiles. These were apparently hand painted by artist illustrator Arthur Frost (1851-1928) and signed on the bottom right tile. The multi tile freize illustrates the old English poem TOM, TOM, THE PIPER"S SON. You can see drips of run off cobalt paint/glaze on the sides of several tiles. The cobalt colors are just so beautiful and reminds me of Chinese blue & white porcelain.

Each tile is about 6" square and again, there are 16 that make up the fireplace surround. How this survived and was removed without substantial damages, I haven't a clue.

Condition: some nicks and small chips on edges and a couple larger chips on back of one or two tiles but otherwise quite fine! Some old paint spatters from painting around the fireplace. When I purchased these, I thought they were missing pieces but as I slowly put it all together, I realized it was a 16 piece set for a fireplace. They weigh nearly 15 lbs before packing.

Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. Keep this in mind when bidding.
