Carnot-at the height of his popularity-was assassinated in 1894 whilst giving a speech
The FDC shows Sadi Carnot and the Pantheon, where his funeral took place-and the Postmark is Limoges-where he was born
The cover reverse has 2 Marianne stamps with Postmark-Limoges-where he was born and has printed information
