Elegant, scarce and unusual Karl Karst Antique Silver Necklace with beautiful matching bracelet in an unusual 'Jugendstil' or Art Nouveau organic design fully signed to each piece with a panel saying 'KARST'.

Karl Karst was a highly respected jeweller who worked in Pforzheim in the early 1900's a contemporary of famous jewellers such as Theodor Fahrner inspired by jewellers such as Joseph Hoffman and the Wiener Werkstätte. Designs were based upon flowing natural forms, this set reminds me of rolling waves or cloud-like forms and is wonderfully organic in style.

The necklace measures approximately 17 inches and the bracelet measures approximately 7 1/2" inches in length.

Each bracelet and necklace section measures approximately 1" inch long by just under 1/2" inch wide.

Made from 800 standard silver which was the norm in the early 20th century in Germany and much other continental jewellery.

This antique silver jewellery is made in the German Arts and Crafts Jugendstil style that was popular in the late 1800's and early 1900s in Germany and Austria alongside the Vienna Secessionist movement.

Plenty of info online if you want to research further about Karl Karst and the Jugendstil movement.

This beautiful set of antique silver jewellery is absolutely stunning set against a simple black dress or works great with casual outfits.

Karl Karst had a relatively low output many of his pieces were individually made as one off pieces.

Perfect gift for a fan of unusual and rare Vintage and Antique Silver Jewellery.

Will be carefully shipped ready for gifting in a nice box.
