Ravage Moulin Rouge Collection Pontaloons, Bloomers or Long Johns: FREDAINE R25131-002-2 or 3 NOIR. These sheer, high rise, pontaloons have a V-shaped front panel of beautiful floral lace with a vertical central seam. The back has a similar V-shaped panel of black lace and these both narrow at the bottom to flow along the outside of the gusset, the seams forming a cross at the centre gusset with the inside seams of the legs. The gusset is lined with black Jersey Cotton. The outer edges of the lace are in large soft waves and these waves are sewn over the sheer black striped mesh which cover the hips and legs of these pontaloons.
Around the waist band the sheer black lace and sheer black striped mesh are folded in and secured to a medium band of black flat elastic which has a fine repeating looped trim. The layers of this waist band are secured with large black zig-zag stitching and the looped trim shows around the waist. Topping the front lace panels is a ruffle of black mesh, embroidered with soft pink leaves with a satin sheen plus a few small flowers in pink, green and silver sparkly thread which catch the light. The top edge of the black mesh has a fine black embroidered trellis pattern which finishes with soft and delicate waves.
Where the striped fabric finishes around the bottom there is a further band of black mesh with soft pink embroidered leaves and the small sparkly flowers. The bottom edge has the fine black embroidered trellis pattern, finishing with soft, delicate waves all the way around the mesh.
There is a double bow sewn to the top seam and outer edge of each band of embroidered mesh, ruffling around the bottom of the legs. They are in different widths of fine black satin ribbon with loops which flow out horizontally and tails that hang down over the black and pink embroidery and the outer leg sides.
Ravage takes some soft lace combining it with striped mesh, then finishing with a ruffle of embroidered mesh to create these very pretty pontaloons. The composition of the fabric is 82%Polyamide, 12%Elastane, 4%Polyester, 2%Cotton and, please machine or hand wash at 30 degrees, no iron, dry cleaning, tumble drying or bleach. New and unused.
