This is the iconic Sony walkman from 1978 model TCM-600B the predecessor of the commercial TPS-L2 which production started 3 years later. This is a far more better device, more compact by my own opinion than the TPS-L2. The device is kept in excellent condition, WORKING, with excellent transmission, which was by the way used in the TPS model as well.
The belts are changed. It is a cassette player and a recorder in the same time. It was used at the time by many journalists as a voice recorder, providing high quality recordings.
There is a small thin crack on the plastic cassette cover.
