Full-sized handmade floor broom, made from an artfully selected twisted limb.
Broom measures about 46 inches in length.
A 'spirit of the woods' or wizard-type face has been carved in the handle near the top. The face is depicted with long hair and a fierce expression.
A length of rawhide has been attached to the top of the broom through a carved hole.
The entire length of the handle consists of a knotty, highly textured length of wood, which appears to have been shellacked.
Construction is a combination of nailed and tied.
Very good condition, with only light wear evident.
