Taken from a "1990 Specialized Hardrock sport MTB"  with its original tires still on it, although strangely not the forks, if you search for this or see my listing you will find the frame and other components stripped from the bike.

Shimano dating code, normally 2 letters, the first is the year, the second is the Month, if only one then it be the year.
