The overall color is very deep purple, though the iridescent nature causes it to pick up it's surroundings, reflecting all the colors and light! The smooth surface and sinuous form just make you want to hold and rub it - with the indentions in the design performing like finger holes!  This is one to be enjoyed on your desk - though easily pretty enough to display on a table or bookshelf.
