This is a Antique Estate Fairchild & Co. Combination Telescopic Dip Pen & Mechanical Pencil.   Very Rare!!  Beautiful signed and dated instrument.  Two patent dates;  Feb 19. 67 and A.G. Days Pat. Aug.10.58.   A.G. Days held a patent for gutta percha rubber as well as Nelson Goodyear, which is the black embossed grip material.   Original nib signed: Leroy W. Fairchild   New York  No. 4.  Crown style handle tip unscrews for pencil lead storage.  Everything works and slides as it should.  Box is inscribed with original owner's information.   See pic for details.
