The flame sensor uses a specially made infrared receiver tube to detect the flame by capturing the infrared wavelength in the flame. It can detect the flame or the light source or heat source whose wavelength is 760nm ~ 1100nm. The detection angle is 60 degrees. When the infrared wavelength is near 940nm, its sensitivity reaches the limit. The sensor is equipped with an M3 fixed mounting hole, which is easy to use for adjusting the direction and fixing. The wide voltage LM393 comparator is used. The signal is clean, the waveform is good, and the driving capacity is strong, exceeding 15mA. It is equipped with an adjustable precision potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity.

Scope of use:

The flame sensor is the most sensitive to the flame and is also responsive to ordinary light. It is generally used for flame alarm and other purposes. It can also be used for infrared reception. In addition, it plays a very important role in the fire fighting robot competition or the search and rescue robot competition. It can be used as the robot's eyes to find the fire source or light source soccer. Combined with the controller and sensor expansion board, it can be used to make fire fighting robots, soccer robots, etc.

Interface Description (4-wire):
1. VCC -- 3.3V-5V voltage

3. DO -- board digital output interface (0 and 1)
4. AO -- board analog output interface


When the ambient flame spectrum or light source of the module fails to reach the set threshold, the DO port outputs a high level; when the ambient flame spectrum or light source exceeds the set threshold, the module D0 outputs a low level; The digital output D0 of the module can be directly connected with the microcontroller to detect the high and low levels through the microcontroller, thereby detecting the temperature change of the environment; The small board digital output DO can directly drive the relay module of our store, thus forming a flame switch; Small board analog output AO can be connected with the AD module of our store, and more accurate values of ambient temperature can be obtained through AD conversion.

After connecting VCC and GND, the module power indicator will be on. Place the module on the desktop. If there is no flame spectrum, if the board switch indicator is on, adjust the blue potentiometer until the switch indicator is off; Then turn on the lighter at about 30cm from the front end of the flame sensor, and the switch indicator on the board will be on, and then turn off the lighter, and the switch indicator will be off. This phenomenon shows that the flame spectrum can trigger the module to make the switch indicator light on.

Be careful:

Although this sensor is used to sense flame, it is not fireproof. The working temperature of the flame sensor probe is - 25 ℃~85 ℃. During use, it must be noted that the flame sensor probe must not be too close to the flame to avoid damage. Generally, it is applicable within 1m (tested with lighter flame, and the sensor can be triggered within half a meter). Wiring correctly! Do not reverse the positive and negative connections to burn the electronic components of the board.
