Product Description

The XPOL-1-5G is Poynting’s second-generation “V2” of this very popular Cross Polarised (XPOL) cellular band antenna with enhanced 4x4 MIMO derivative for user-specific needs. The antenna has been completely redesigned from the previous generation with an all-new enclosure and antenna design. The antenna now includes the newer 3400 - 3800 MHz bands as well as the in-demand lower 698 MHz band, which were not previously covered by our V1 and is suitable for 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G. This antenna performs exceptionally well in the following frequency bands: 698 – 960 MHz, 1700 –2700 MHz & 3400 – 3800 MHz, with a peak gain of 3dBi* across the frequency bands of operation.

The radiation patterns of this antenna are omni-directional and exceptionally well controlled, further adding to the performance of the antenna. This makes the antenna perfect for most application areas, such as urban, rural, agricultural and commercial, to achieve the best possible coverage over a large area. The robust mechanical enclosure design makes the antenna weather, dust and vandal resistant and gives it an IP65 rating, suitable for harsh environments.

The V2-41 XPOL is a 4x4 MIMO device and this refers to how many data streams the antenna can support simultaneously, which essentially boils down its maximum concurrent data bandwidth. 4x4 devices like the V2-41 contain two antennas, each supporting their own data streams. The increased 4X4 MIMO refers to how many data streams each antenna can support simultaneously, which essentially boils down their maximum concurrent data bandwidth.

If you're planning to use the XPOL-A0001 for your mobile solution, consider upgrading to the 5G XPOL-1-V2-21 instead. This allows you to future-proof your network and achieve faster speeds from both the 700MHz and 3400MHz frequency bands.

*NB. For OMNI-Directional antennas, the radiation pattern demonstrating omnidirectionality is more important than the max. gain 3 dBi. This gain reflects only one point on the radiation pattern. The variation in the gain on a certain usable frequency is decisive. This variation should be as little as possible as it really will decide if the energy is spread evenly in all directions and is strongest there where it should be!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The specification for this antenna does NOT include official support for the 1400MHz cellular frequencies (Band 32) which are used by both Three and Vodafone in the UK in some areas so please check this carefully prior to purchase.
