This special piece is part of our mother's estate. She had 5 boys who she left all of her collection of fine jewelry items, from emeralds to rubies to sapphires and diamonds, in yellow and white gold and platinum. I am her youngest son and enjoyed all of my life collecting some of the pieces with her. From flea markets to fine jewelry stores and auctions. She traveled extensively and often brought back one gem or another. She had a great eye. In fact, she found a wonderful yellow gold amethyst and diamond ring that I selected as the ring to give my wife for an engagement ring.
