This is an antique, imposing, monumental and exceptional Vienna clock made by Franz Laucher in Vienna during 18th century. Exotic gilt wood case frofusely decorated with finely carved leaves, flowers and fruits. Huge, original & signed white enameled dial in good condition, with details consistent with age but no several damages (see pictures). Extremely rare & primitive movement with calendar and integrated musical function with striking every hour and half hour. Rotating musical tube has a sliding axis to play differents notes and play a long melody. All functions are working and movement is complete. Hour funcion is adjusted with a winding brake to work for a couple of hours. Because it is a very old clock with all original parts and working, i prefer do not to apply more force to the winding. Because it is an old clock i do not guarantee accuracy of timekeeping. As i explained, the movement and all functions are working when tested. We cannot however guarantee the movement or any mechanical operation following shipping and therefore recommend getting it overhauled by an expert to adjust it. A really magnificent clock for demanding collectors. Diameter of enameled dial is 21.5 centimeters.
