Replacement Heathkit weatherstation wind vane cap.  New manufactured by a local machine shop.

The early wind vane caps were manufactured in plastic and many of them became brittle and have broken.  The later ones were machined out of aluminum and last much longer.  We have contracted a local machine shop to create replacment wind vane caps from 6061 aluminum.  These closely match the originals and work fine.  Each cap comes with a brass 8-32 screw to hold the vane and a stainless steel 6-32 set screw to hold the cap to the sensor shaft.

Consider that each of these has been manufactured manually.
