In 1994, designer Shinsuke Takizawa established NEIGHBORHOOD in Harajuku, Tokyo. Neighborhood is a Japanese street brand. The brand concept is “creating basic clothing that sublimates elements of motorcycles, military, outdoor, traditional fashion, etc. with a unique interpretation, and proposing lifestyle ideas.'' This is the basis for the items Neighborhood proposes and the projects it participates in. When the company was first established, founder Takizawa was devoted to counterculture, including motorcycles. Signature items include distressed denim items, leather jackets with a motorcycle feel, and bags made by Yoshida Kaban, which has been around since the brand was founded. Collaboration with numerous brands and film works such as "STUSSY", "A BATHING APE", "ADIDAS", "FRAGMENT", "VISVIM", etc. The range of activities is wide, with items linked to etc. The company offers lifestyle proposals in a wide range of fields, including the kids line “NEIGHBORHOOD ONE THIRD.''
